Story:
Based on the design of the La Patisserie Francaise scarf
Pierre Marie’s idea for this scarf came by diving into a French cookery book published in 1873. Le Livre de pâtisserie was the fourth book by Jules Gouffe, the son a Parisian pastry chef famous for his pieces montees, whose shop was located on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, a few short steps from Hermes. Soon his talent had earned him the title of "the apostle of decorative cuisine". The beauty of his creations is a real incentive to a gourmet dream. Pierre Marie could not resist. Jars of almond paste, pistachio croquembouches, decorative cake stands, colored sugars, nougatine, dessert creams and choux buns form an extravagant decor that pays tribute to the illustrator’s boundless imagination.
This essential Hermès accessory complements any outfit. It can be worn many ways - around your neck, as a top, at the waist or as a headscarf!
