KAWS
KAWS began his career as a graffiti artist in Jersey City. KAWS started
subverting imagery on billboards, bus shelter and phone booth advertisements.
These reworked ads were at first left alone but as KAWS’ popularity
skyrocketed, the ads became increasingly sought after.
